2005 Silverado LS Crew Cab 1500 Dash Dimmer Switch
 

Question: Does the dash dimmer switch suppose to light up (words/symbols) like all the other control knobs on the dash?

My switch is starting to fail. Have to wiggle the wheel sometimes to get the dash lights to come back on. Now I just noticed that regardless if the switch is working or not, switch itself does not light up. I can't remember if it ever did.

Most replacement switch come with this note:

HDLMP & I/P LP DIMR & DM LP - w/o LED INDICATOR - SERVICE REPL FOR VEH w/LED INDICATOR – BASE<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Does that mean that all replacements do not light up?
