2005 wont start

i have a 2005 silverado and it wont start. it will turn over but it seems like its not getting gas to run. i tryed to put starter fluid in it and that did not help, i am clueless now. i am working out of town and dont have much time to work on it. the truck has 150,000 miles on it and is 4.3L 4x4.if you guys have any ideas to help me it would be greatly appreciated thanks

pull a plug to see if it's getting any fire. the starter fluid should have made it at least start for a minute...hold the plug to a ground and have someone crank the motor... if no spark, check for a bad fuse.

On the flip side of the other suggestion, it could be that you are not getting gas to the engine. Replace fuel filter? As my buddies dad used to tell us. it's either gas or spark. If it doesn't start one of the two is missing.

Good luck!
