2007 Silverado Classic Low Beam/High Beam bulbs melting

I have a 07 1500 classic which I put the Hella 80w and 100w bulbs into for headlights. The low beams both melted within a week and the high beam on one side after 2 months of use is starting to show over heating, is there anything I can do to cool my lights down? Or a better alternative that's just as bright without going to HID?

Yea it sounds like they are getting WAY too hot. I dont think there is something out there that bright that wont do the same thing..im guessing they are way brighter that the silverstars which are a brighter factory style replacement

These bulbs kill the Piaa or Silverstar option. Plus they are only $60 canadian. But my friend has the same setup in his 06 2500hd and they've never melted?

Doesnt the 06 and 07 use a different headlight housing? I know the classic silverado had a different hood and grill

Yes, but we both have "classic" models. Same bodystyle.
