Default 2007 and up Silverado, have you had a dead battery

I got into my truck today and had no power to anything. No lights were left on, and nothing was charging in the cig lighter. I did some research a found these trucks are known to have battery problems. Just wondering if you have had this happen to you. I have a new Interstate battery in the truck. I jumped started the truck and it seems to be fine now. Any suggestions?

My truck is older than yours, but I get about 5 years on a battery. Has your truck always done this or did it just start doing it? Did you check the alternator for proper operation? Usually there is a component like electric seats or windows or something like this that stays partially on and drains the battery overnight.

If your alternator and belt system is ok and you don't have any creepages.. I would say it's cause you have to many ECMs in those newer cars & trucks. So if you don't use 'em regulary or are just driving short distances, I would say it's a usual problem for newer vehicles with that much electronics in it.
If you talk to battery producer, they will tell you a battery even got just 70% of capacity as a brand new one at lower temperatures! And in newer cars they will just hold about a few years.... It's sad, but it is like it is! BULL****
(at least at european cars it is like that)
