2008 silverado brake switch
I just replaced the brake switch on my 08 silverado hoping it would fix the problem of my cruise control not working. Needless to say that didn't work but I noticed another plug coming off the harness that plugs into the brake switch that was just hanging there. I don't know if it is supposed to be plugged in somewhere and that might be my problem or what. Anyone have an idea of what the plug goes to? Thanks

That extra plug probably does have something to do with it. If it will plug into the brake switch go ahead and try it. The brake is part is part of the cruise control circuit. When you tap the brake pedal it stops the cruise control. Maybe that was your problem all along.

There's no where for it to plug in on the brake switch but I thought it might go somewhere else...I can't seem to find a wiring diagram anywhere to tell what it might be

do you have the adjustable pedal option? Does it work?
any dtc set? The cruise will be disabled if any cruise dtc are set. These are body codes that do not set the SES light. you need a scan tool that can read these codes...code readers do not.
do you have anything constantly plugged into the DLC. This will inhibit cruise
