2008 Silverado Randomly Doesn't Start, help!

Recently purchased a 2008 used silverado with 62k on it. No issues the first week, however, once yesterday and once today it wouldnt start. This is not a battery issue. You park somewhere, do your thing get in to leave and turn the key on and everything comes on, turn the key to accessory everything works, but when you start it nothing, doesn't crank or anything. Then i just kept turning the key on and off on and off on and off and then one time it fired right up. I'm thinking neutral safety switch maybe, but want to see if anyone has any other info/ideas. Feel free to email also.

yeah man sounds like the park shifter isnt fully in place... or maybe your ignition is going to crap, start small, next time it happens jiggle the shifter more into park

You might try after turning key on shift to neutral and see if it starts.
That might tell if the shift sensor is the problem.
Just a thought.

Did you ever consider it could be your key? They have a chip in them.
