Default 2008 silverado z71 leveling kit question

I recently put a 2" leveling kit and 285/70/17 tires on my truck. I just started having problems with my truck saying that it has 40 mile to empty and it shut off cus it's out of fuel. Has anybody else had this problem? And do any of you have any suggestion?
