I'm getting ready to do my exhaust and was debating on true dual or single cat back into dual. I'm wanting more mid range response and nothing too terribly loud. I'm debating on Single catback into a flowmaster 40 dual. Or just true dual with high flow cats into single to single flowmaster 40. Let me know what you think.

I wouldn't do anything with a flowmaster honestly. Not a good muffler if you're lookin for mid range response. You want a straight through design, not a chambered muffler. Want the exhaust air to get out as fast as possible, not go through bafflers. Look into magnaflow, spintech, aeroturbine to name a few. And if you want gains, don't do duals, you lose low end torque, but will gain high end hp. Doesn't make sense to lose low end when you're tryin to get a big truck moving.

I have had cherry bombs before on an old Cadillac and they were far too loud does anyone know if there are any that are straight through but not as loud.

Magnaflow is perfect. Not loud inside, loud outside. Can't hear it while cruisin either
