Default 2010 Silverado 2nd Battery install?

Has anyone added the second battery to the 2010 models? If so, how did you connect the second batt to the truck. Did you use the lug on that side of the fuse box?

I would suggest that you have this issue checked at a dealership. It is a 2010 model year vehicle and should be well under our bumper to bumper and powertrain warranties. The dealership would be the best place to get this kind of work done. I hope you get this issue fixed!

I have seen quotes of $800 for doing this at the dealership. My Warranty would have nothing to do with this since it wasn't factory installed.

I might drive by and ask them about it, but unless they have a simple, inexpensive solution, I will just add an isolater and wire it myself.

I did high end car audio work for years and adding batteries was common practice. I was just asking what the proper connections were on the truck since it was already setup for the connection.

I will find out from my dealer and then let you know what they say.

Its easy... Just connect a negative cable from the new battery to the engine block for ground and connect a positive cable to the alternator at the same point the first battery is connected. You will also have to buy a battery hold-down clamp from Chevrolet parts.
