2013 Silverado Truck caps- Which is best?

I am purchasing a new 2013 Silverado and I will be installing a cap. After a lot of research it seems that the Snugtop is the highest rated brand. I wish to use a local dealer and there isn't a Snugtop retailer in Michigan.

Pretty sure the A.R.E. is the next best but have heard about Ranch, Century, Jason and Leer as well.

I am looking for durability and color match first and foremost.

The A.R.E. I am considering is around $1800 installed with side Windoors, Front Slider and a Yakima Rack with 4 pack load stabilizers for the rack.

Any information on the A.R.E. or other caps would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have had 2 ARE Z series caps. One on my sonoma and now one on my 2013 silvarado. I love the look the finish and built to last. I would always recomend the Z series you do pay a premium but if you keep your trucks they pay for themselfs. Here are some pics from both trucks.

Pay to have all the rack holes fitted with a screw. If not the load capacity of the racks will be severely compromised.

If you have anything longer than the space between the cross bars the stress on the rail strip fasteners is increased considerably. The fasteners for the factory rack on my Tahoe failed after a few years of transporting kayaks.

I put the rails in myself and through bolted with stainless screws and inside the camper I used 2" WIDE strips of 1/4" thick HPDE to keep the nuts from being pulled into the cap.

Snug Top also makes a utilty type cap that supports a much greater roof load.
