2015 2500hd Work Truck

I recently bought a 15' 2500hd WT. I bought it so i could put all of the accessories on myself and not pay the extremely expensive addon price chevy has. I am looking at putting a new radio in to replace the 4.5inch lcd screen radio currently in place. I found the new dash kit and am going to probably get a pioneer double din with bluetooth. I know with the LT's and up they have the mylink or whatever its called and have the installed micorphone right above the drivers head. I too have a microphone plastic cover installed but do not know if a microphone was actually installed or not. Does anyone know? Also I am looking into a Bullydog tuner to help with gas mileage when more horsepower is not needed, anyone reccomend or not reccomend it? Im also looking into putting a cold ait intake and possibly duals ( not loud, have infants ) to help with the performance on the truck, any suggestions? Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

I'm assuming the truck came with the cheap steel wheels?
I'm assuming you have the petrol v8? as far as engine performance, a cold air intake does little more than make noise. I honestly wouldn't do to much since I'm assuming you don't care much about 0-60 times.
as far as handling goes. the 2500 HD suspension is awesome.
upgrade for some aluminums and nicer tires: best performance upgrade ever. Will improve handling, cornering, and even gas mileage

Yup i have the cheap steel wheels, and am in the process of looking for aluminum ones. ok I figured the cold air intake might not be worth the price versus effect. what about a programable chip?

Those plug and play programmers don't do well on gas engines. The Blackbear tune I have is amazing. Brand new I was getting 11mpg. After a Volant CAI, exhaust, Bigger tires in the back to offset the 4.10 gears, and the tune. I was getting 17-18mpg steady for a long time.

is it the 4wd work truck?
and if so, manual or auto 4wd?
simply turning the auto 4x4 off improves gas mileage. only leave it on if you think you will need it

another easy way to improve gas mileage is to swap mechanical accessories that use engine power and switch them to electrical ones.
for example: if you have mechanical fans, electrical ones will use the power that is already going to the alternator, rather than seeping more power from your engine

It's a manual 4wd.

nice. the manual 4wd doesn't hurt your mpg as much as the auto does. only turn it on when you need it
