3 in. U-Bolt lift block kit
My mother got me a 3 in. U-bolt block lift kit for me from autozone since today is my birthday but she is havin it shipped to my house, i know nothing about suspension but i know i want to lift my truck 2 or 3 inches with a suspension lift. can someone give me an insight as to if this is the same thing as a suspension lift kit everyone keeps talkin about. if its not whats a good supsension lift kit that will raise my truck 2 or 3 in. i have a 1997 Cheyenne 1500 single cab short bed

im told its to raise the leaf springs, will this be sturdy enough to handlin a little mudding every now and then

yea its a sus. lift.. it will handle alot if u do it correctly. i had a 77 ford with a block lift.. i took it thrut he deepest and nastiest lookin stuff u could think of.. it all held together good.. the suspension anyway!! lol |

i'v never installed a block lift myself..so for this question you might have to ask mudmaniac or somebody with a lifted truck on here

1. Place wheel with blocks in front and behind the front tires. 2. Lift rear of vehicle and support with jack stands on each side. Make sure vehicle is stable. 3. Support rear differential with a floor jack. 4. Loosen the 4 U-bolt nuts on the passenger side. Pull U-bolts up and out. Remove the axle mounting plate. Lower the floor jack down until there is 3 inches of space between the leaf spring and the rear axle. 5. Place new lift block between the leaf spring and axle with the alignment dowel pins lined up. 6. Jack the axle up and align spring dowel with lift block hole. Slide the new U-bolts over the leaf spring 8. do 4 -7 on the other sideand though the mounting plate. 7. that sounds like a good idea, ill do that. my only problem now is gettin some tires big enough to look good cause if i put that on now it will look pretty stupid

what size rears are you running now? you trying to fill the well or just halfway
