4 Wheel Drive Indicator

I just purchased a 2014 Brand New Silverado 1500 LT. I tried using my 4 wheel drive this am due to snow and while the 4 wheel drive seemed to engage, my indicator light showing it was in 4 wheel drive does not seem to show up on my dash like in my previous RAM? Do the Silverados have this? Does this mean there is an issue?

Hey Frankie,

The four-wheel-drive light comes on when a vehicle with a manual transfer case is shifted into four-wheel drive and the front axle engages. The manual transfer case looks like a shifter. If you have a knob, the vehicle will just change to the 4 wheel drive as you turn it. No information will display.
