94 F code 6.5 turbo?????
 

Folks I could use some input. Got a Silverado 4x4 in trade, trying to figure out if I should keep it. Has 244k on it, original engine but runs perfect. Comments good or bad are welcome, just try to tell me what's good or bad. My first diesel so I'm in the dark. Truck is built as heavy as it gets--9k GVW, Camper kit, 5th wheel kit, EQ 10k hitch, skid plates, adjustable sway bars, etc. etc. all original per the build list. No rust or dents, truck looks new, no fault codes and everything works great except backup lites.

Let er Rip, I got thick skin.

i am actually looking at buying a 6.5 diesel truck. they are reliable trucks. if everything works and it's not having issues than that 244k is nothing on it. i've seen 6.5's run at least half million miles. great truck in my eyes

When I first got it I googled 6.5 turbo and lots of folks were saying "trash engine" or such. Glad to hear someone say something good. The things I heard were head cracking, main bearing web cracks and harmonic balencer problems.
