Abs problem

I`m new here and say hello ,I hope someone can help me. I have a 05,
4 door Silverado, 5.3, auto, 2 wheel drive, 137000 miles. With the engine
running in park or neutral, turning the steering wheel to the right or to
the left, the ABS light comes on. The light does not come on when brakes
are applied, does not affect driving or stopping. This just started today,
has anyone seen this before? THANKS CHUCK41

MORE INFO.
Start engine, turn wheels left or right, ABS light comes on, turn off engine so tires
stay in turned position, turn key to the run position and the ABS light comes
on and will stay on as long as the key is in the run position. Is there anyone
out there that has seen this problem? I don't have a code reader and can not
find a code for this problem in the manual. CHUCK41

Jack up front of truck and at each wheel grab at 12 and 6 a shake wheel. If there is a lot of play the hubs may be getting worn. Also check the connecting cable to each wheel for good tight connection. Have had similar problems with my trucks, have 3 Silverados but all mine are 4x4.

ToooTall1 Thank You
Have no play in front hubs and the speed sensor cables are tight, don`t see
any rub marks on them. CHUCK41

I would try getting the codes read at a auto repair shop or maybe autozone or any such store. The only thing that may relate to your problem is when in a tight turn the cable stretches and breaks contact or the hub itself move ever so slightly. There is very little tolerance where the ABS speed sensor is in the hub. If it only comes on in tight turns I would not worry about it at the moment. If on all the time there are only a few fixes, check grounds especially below the drivers door outer frame rail looking forward, connections on the ABS controller mid frame driver side rail, ABS sensor going bad (wheel Hub) or the ABS contoller module is throwing fault codes.
Some of the code related to ABS are (front hubs C0223, C0225 + others)
(ABS module C0265 + others) Are you getting only the ABS light or brake light and ABS. ABS relates to front hubs and both light relate to the module. Again getting any code will direct you to the problem. Good luck in finding your problem

I thank you for all your help, I found one of the wheel sensor wires broken under the insulation where they go into the connector at the frame, they are not covered at that point and I noticed one wire bent in an odd shape. I checked it with an ohm meter,
moving it around it would make intermittent contact. A new sensor wire fixed the
problem, the ABS light does not come on when I turn now. CHUCK41
