adding factory blue tooth? help!!

Ok, I have done some homework on this. My current truck has the factory nav system but no bluetooth (w/ onstar). I have narrowed it down to two options.

First is the Blue Fusion model # BFGMK for $250.00

Second is adding the factory parts

and then having the dealer programing my truck. I can order the parts through GMpartsdirect.com for around the same price.

Has anyone one done anyone either of these?

I want to add blue tooth. I don't subscribe to onstar. I want to be able to make and recieve phone calls via my nav screen. I also want to play my music that is on my phone through the radio.

My local custom shop, recommended I go with a parrot system for $600 installed. They would have to mount an a screen and additional hand controls on the steering wheel. Or I could spend another 150 and be able to use my already mounted steering wheel controls. I don't think so.

Come on, someone has to have done either of these two mods that I can ask questions to

Well if you want a screen then find a cheaper radio that have navigation and DVD apps on it if you want onstar go get best buys mirror if you want cheapest Bluetooth radio sync Walmart sells radios with USB port for Bluetooth
Its up to you what you want and willing to spend
know this the bigger and nicer the radio the bigger the target your truck is to someone who wants what u have

Thanks doug, Buying an aftermarket radio with nav and blue tooth is around $1100. So that is out. Especially since I ALREADY HAVE a nav unit as stated in my first post.

I already have the on-star that came factory with the truck (as do ALL Chevys sold in the US). I don't subscribe to it, so i could care less if it works or not. So that option is a bust.

I know I can get a cheep sony wal-mart radio (i installed one in my wife's old Toyota, It was alright. But as stated earlier, I would like to keep my factory nav radio and just ADD blue tooth to it. As stated in my first post, I have limited it down to two options. I was just hoping to find someone that has actually DONE either of the two mentioned upgrades.

I have done this mod, i can make and receive calls through blue tooth but not through the nav screen. Also does not support airplay, meaning you cant play music through the radio. hope this helps
