Get the 285s. If they rub, crank the stock keys and they'll fit

Sounds like money is an issue. If you can't afford the lift then you don't waster your money on tires. You're going to end up spending more money on gas if you do either.

yea i got you on the gas part, but im tired of bottoming out when i go off roading. so i was just going to get the leveling kit and the bigger tires so i have a little more clearance. the tires and the kit wouldnt be coming till around winter time anyway i dont need tires like tomorrow so the kit and the tires would be all coming at the same time. i was only wondering if i could fit the tires or not without the kit, i dont think they will i measured the other day.

I fit 285/75/16 BFG at's on my 01 when it was completely stock with no rubbin. I believe you'll rub just a hair, but if you do, you can crank your stock keys up just a lil and not rub
