Brake noise

2005 Silverado 1500 4door 2w/drive 5.3 auto P/S P/B
Just as the truck comes to a stop I hear a growling noise, sounds like
the left front, the steering wheel will turn to the left and the brake pedal
is pushed back against my foot. I tightened the hub bolts. the caliper
bracket bolts and caliper bolts, I don`t see anything that looks like its
moving. Is the caliber bad? I appreciate all the help I can get.
THANK YOU CHUCK41

What do the rotor and pads look like? Sounds like the brakes in that wheel are grabbing.

When was the last time the brakes were serviced? if one caliper is grabbing harder then the other it can cause the wheel to pull.... As suggested above I would inspect the pad and rotor, if they are good, I would bleed the brake system....
Also inspect the wheel/hub/bearing, with the vehicle off the ground, holding the tire at the top and bottom you should get no deflection or movement back and forth, if you do the hub/bearing is worn....

THANKS GUYS Here is more info, 139000 miles replaced original front pads
last week because of this problem, old pads still have about 1/4 inch of lining left.
Rotor thickness is, left 1.170 inch, right 1.174 inch. Rotor runout is left, almost
.002 inch, right side has bad hub bearings so can not get accurate reading. the
rotor moves in and out .015 inch at the top, I have one ordered. Truck has drum
brakes on rear. I don`t know the minimum thickness of the rotors, did bleed
the front when I put the new pads on. THANKS CHUCK 41
there are no trouble codes

Just though I`d let you know I have the brakes fixed, in my last post I said I had
a bad hub on the right side. I got the new hub Tuesday and put it on this morning
and that fixed everything, I thought it was the left front grabbing and making it turn
to the left because that where the noise was coming from. It must have been the looseness in the right hub that made seem like the left front was grabbing, and turning left, why the left side made the noise, I don`t have a clue
MANY THANKS CHUCK41
