Can a remote starter affect acceleration?
I recently just removed a remote starter from my 2006 Silverado. It looked like my 3 year old wired it in there and it would fly out from under the dash everytime I had to brake real hard, it came with the used truck from the dealer. I was worried it was an electrical disaster waiting to happen. Now that it is off I swear I have an increase in acceleration. I even broke the rear wheels loose today, and not on purpose. Could removing a remote starter increase acceleration or is this all just in my mind?

If it were wired incorrectly I could see some electrical issues but not really any acceleration issues unless of course it weighed 100lbs.... I think you are correct it that you are less distracted by it...
