which chip

ive got a 96 350 vortec with a K&N CAI and edelbrock shorties goin into true dual glasspacks and im wondering what chip i should get. im not lookin to buy a programmer just yet all i need for now is the chip and i was lookin at the JET performance chips but idk if i should go with the stage 1 or stage 2 chip. what do u think

I'd go with the two stage doritos. Hot wing and blue cheese. The difference is amazing and both stages work together in perfect harmony

Hehe I couldn't help it

I honestly couldn't tell you as I have never done anything like that but I'm sure someone here knows or maybe you could check at truckforums.com or LS1trucks.com

Because its a '96 I'm not sure you can chip it, '96 was the year that they switched to the OBDII, I think you half to have custom tune or a programmer.

J-man67 February 13th, 2009 11:41 AM

Correct, but programmers leave something desired as far as tuning goes. A custom tune will always come out on top as each truck is different.
