Door Problems - Need Help (97 C1500 5.7L)

The passenger door won't open from the inside so you have to roll down the window and open from the inside. Last night while taking a closer look (didn't open anything) I because obvious that something within the interior door handle wasn't fully engaging.

If you know what the fix is, please help me out. My next task is to crack open the door panel which I recall gave me a lot of grief last time, so if you have tips on disassembly, I'll all ears....

Got-r-done!!!

Excessive tugging on the handle slightly broke it on the inside giving the pulling legnth too much slack.

Pop off the window, auto lock & tweater speaker panel.
Pop off the outer ring of handle.
Remove 2 screws from arm rest/pull area.
Pry up the whole outer plasticpanel which requires force.
Remove all nut-sheet metal screws from metal panel, pry back panel.
Lowering the window all the way helps push the panel out.
(during assembly, pull the window back up a few inches.
Factory handle assy has one rivet, drill it out. Either replace with rivet
or bolt and nut.
