hey guys i was looking at a cummins, but then i was talking to a girl and she really like chevys and i really like her, but you haveto do what the girl likes,so i was wanting to know what the most common thing that goes out on the chevy duramax's&nb sp; peace <edited><editID>mossy765</editID><editDate>38696.7362152778</editDate></edited>

my friend has a 04 duramax that he uses to pull heavy trailers with and nothing has broke yet he only had to get tires he has about 150,000 miles on it so far the new duramax also has 360hp for 2006!</P>

Cummins is the most reliable engine ever put in a pickup except it gets put in a piece of junk dodge

depends on what year you're looking at
check www.dieselplace.com/

the 2001-2004.5 (LB7 motor) has the fuel injectors internal to the valve covers. this is a problem because the injectors crack and the seals fail causing diesel to leak into the lower half of the engine. the good news is chevy somewhat admits a problem and has extended the injector warranty to 200k miles. Otherwise it's about $4000 to have a set of injectors replaced, yea, 4 grand. ouch.

the 2004.5-2005 (LLY motor) has external injectors and evidently that problem has been corrected. they tend to overheat however

hey Dodges arn't junk, thats just your opinion and maybe no one wants to hear it. also I see Dodge and Chevy as Equal against the greater ****tey vehicles produced by ford. Have a good one and go Chevy and Dodge!!! lol
