Ford guy buying a Chevy... 07 Z71 LTZ, any issues to look out for?

Well my poor FX4 has served me well at 170K but it's time for a change... I have owned several F150s and F250s...

I found a great deal on a 1500 Z71 LTZ crew black on tan.

It's got 73K miles, but that's my norm for buying used... So that's not an issue.

Clean carfax. I'll look for drips and leaks. Drive the snot out of it to see how it drives and shifts...

The photos look like the truck was well cared for. Driver seat leather near flawless.

Any red flags for this year model? :D

The only problem we've had out of my dads 07 is the throttle position sensor...other than that is been one of the best trucks he's had

OK, TPS isn't a big deal. I was told about the power seat motors going out around the mileage this truck is at so I have that on the list...

Really? My dads has about that much mileage and they work great. I would think if you use them to play on all the time they'd go out. If they just sit, I wouldn't see a problem with it

Yeah that's what I thought also... LoL

Well I'm stoked. I have never cared for the Ford new redesign and still hate the center console gear shifter in my 04. I will have to get used to the loose steering in the Chevy, but will love the tan LTZ interior!
