Default fresh air actuator

Hello, I have a 1999 sierra extracab 4x4 with the 5.3. It has the single zone heat/air. The fresh air/rec actuator has gone bad and the blend door actuator is going bad. I removed the fresh air/rec actuator from behind the glove box. I have not removed the blend door actuator yet due to cold weather and the fact that it is still working for now. My question is are these the same part or do they have diffrent part numbers? Does any any one know what the part numbers for these two actuators?

Default found em

Ok after much searching I have found the GM part numbers:
89018678 = air inlet valve actuator ( fresh air/ rec)
52473356 = mode actuator (vent/floor /defrost)
52474810= tempature actuator ( blend door)

I have not yet found the DoorMan part numbers yet.

I hope this can be of some help to others.

Here are the DoorMan part numbers, for new actuators.
GM 89018678 part number= DoorMan 604-120 part number = fresh/rec
GM 52473356 part number = DoorMan 604-113 part number= vent/def/floor
GM 52474810 part number = DoorMan 604-101 part number = Hot/cold temp
Not all auto part stores carry the OEM GM actuators but may carry the DoorMan brand.
Again I hope this helps

Yes that acuator is the problem, it is right behind the glove box and is a pain to get to. I did mine but it is a total pain to do but it is possible.

it is the GM 89018678 or doorman 604-120 RockAuto.com has both the GM and the DoorMan parts in stock and is a very easy web site to manuver. I also found that even with shipping they were cheaper than my local auto parts stores and I got my parts in less than a week. Hope this helps .

You can fold your glove box down and look at the heater box. At the top of it you will see a door with faom on it , that is the fresh/ rec door. With your key on and the heater /air cond blower going you should be able to push the rec/ fresh air buttons and see if the door moves. The acuators use a nylon gear with a steel insert that cracks and thus wont open the door. Even though the motor in the actuator still operates the gear just spins and wont open the door. I have used both the GM and the Doorman and they both look about the same when you open them up. The only thing that I have found is that the DOORMAN was less expensive on a couple of actuators and GM was on a couple of them. Both were built over seas though.

Yes I had the same problem in that my fresh air/ rec was not working. It can be done but it is a real pain to get to. It took me over an hour to get the acuator off but about 15 mins to get the new one one for some reason? The area is very tight and the actuator sits on top of the heater box against the fire wall. I opened the glove box then pressed in on the sides, this allowed the box to "flop open" and be out of the way. I also replaced the actuator for the hot/cold temp or blend door actuator because it was making a clicking sound and found that it too had the same broken gear.
