help engine id on a 454
i have determined my 1978 k10 came with a 350 4 barrel. i know what is in it now is a 454. i need help as to where they stamped the numbers on the 454s so i can identify what year and block it is thanks in advance

block number
the number is on the passenger side front of the block , there is a small pad protruding out from the top of the block .here is a article telling you were some of the differant id numbers .
