Shudder at 40mph
2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 ltz 5.3 crew cab
I just bought the truck and the guy said he started having the dreaded Chevy trans shudder problem about 30,000 miles ago. Its not bad you only feel it slightly at around 40 mph. Has 134,000 on it and fluid and filter was changed about 20,000 miles ago. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Flip the pill
There is a sensor that will not allow transmission to cool until it gets to a temperature. It’s a service bulletin item that I believe killed my Silverado transmission at 120k.
The clutch plate is also a weak link, mine shattered and ate the transmission. I got a remanufactured so this was corrected as well as a new sensor with new parameters was installed.
