2004 Silverado WT 4.3L 4x4, plowed snow with Fisher 7 1/2 foot steel blade, and hauled a 4400 lb boat for 5 years, 218,400 miles, still going strong, my close to home truck (keep it within 50 miles).

StrictlyChevy July 14th, 2011 2:09 PM

2007 Silverado 5.3 with 182,000 miles. A Lot of miles for only four years. Runs perfectly.

High milage club

My 94 silverado has a little over 356000 miles on her with the original engine with no rebuilds just tune ups and regular maintain right now she is parked because she's getting a makeover she is going to become a show truck and hopefully be sexy as hell

2oCHEVYo0 August 8th, 2011 8:00 PM

I'm glad there are other people out there that are as proud of their odometers as me :D The more miles on the clock IMO is the biggest bragging right you can have. Everybody can make a faster ride but it's even cooler to me to see a vehicle with 300K plus and still going strong!!!

I can't wait to get mine going again! 210K on the clock baby!!!

Fishinfooleric10@aol.com August 8th, 2011 10:24 PM

I have a 99 silverado 1500 Z71 with a 194,000 and hasnt had any major problems. This is nothing to my friend who has 2000 Z71 with 294,000 and also with no problems. You just can't kill these trucks

greatwhite99 August 15th, 2011 9:09 AM

Howdy Gentlemen,

I'm pretty new around here (first post actually), and I've got a 1999 Suburban LT with 297,000 miles on it, still runs like a champ. Can't wait to cross over the magic 300,000 marker.

GoldToyBox August 29th, 2011 1:38 PM

1990 Z-71 4x4 extended cab 350cid
276K miles
rebuilt motor at 245K (no hp pulling boat)
tranny blew at 90K and again 190K

It's a worker not a show truck.

I'm kind of in the same boat. 89 1500 Silverado with 318000kms on her. Original engine and tranny, no leaks, puddles, or smoke. She's in definite need of body work (rusted through on the cab corners box wheel wells, front fenders could use some work), but she still purrs like a pi$$ed-off grizzly bear.

91 K2500 with 267k on the readout. still runs great after being a former ranch truck.

1999 k1500 suburban, 410k and counting. had to replace the rear end a while back. it developed a crack in the end of the housing and the wheel bearing would not stay put other than that it is all original.

rkbirkes September 14th, 2011 11:03 PM

high mileage truck

I have a 95 silverado k2500 with a 454 that is still all original with 328,000 miles. the trans is original too. I use it to haul my drag race car to the races. I am going to sell the truck and wonder if anybody would buy a truck with this many miles on it.

bluemeanie04 September 21st, 2011 6:54 PM

2001

2001 Z71, 1500LT, 5.3L with 197K, runs great, did have to rebuild transfer case and leaking cam sensor gasket, and the usual starter, alt, fuel pump, water pump.

'03 6.0 Excalade truck with 145K. Regular maint., new ps, tires, brakes @ 140K. Still going strong, had some body work just done and it looks and rides like new. I am burning some oil...about a quart every 1K when in town but less on the hwy.

96 Junk That Moves December 10th, 2011 8:01 AM

My 96 has 260K on the clock. I'm the 3rd. owner. It's my project and daily driver. My goal is to lower it 4" front and rear. I have a set of vintage ET slots for it . Dual exhaust . I plan on doing the " Powertour" when it's done. This is on my "bucket list" I'm 61.

My recently stolen 1991 GMC had 307,000 on it. Pulled my boat up these mountain highways on hot days with no complaints.
Changed 2 alternators and on air conditioner. That is all.
Always used synthetic oils.

redhotlt1 December 13th, 2011 10:33 AM

got a 89 s-10 4x4 blazer 310000 and a 97 z71 with 240000 still goin strong

Derl December 13th, 2011 3:43 PM

I have an '89 Silverado with 216,000 miles on it and it has never had the heads or oil pan removed. Runs like a top. Recently, when I found out my truck was worth more than my '97 Venture Van, I sold the Van and kept my truck. Now it is my only ride.
I've had a lot of cars and trucks in my life and I've always drove GM. I've got over 150,000 miles on every one.
I'm 63 years old and me and my '89 Chevy Truck will be together a long time. High Mileage Club, yeah, add me to the list.:D

96 2500 4x4 6.5L Turbo Diesel I have owned going on 2 years 261k Has a few issues but runs like a top for the most part! Friend's husband lent it to me when the tranny went out of my Dodge. I offered to buy it from him and he sold it to me for $600! Would have to be stupid to pass that up! lol

I pull my tandem axle trailer and 22 foot boat like it is not there. I do plan to buy a new truck soon, but will keep my 2000.

MrBOFH February 5th, 2012 6:00 PM

JUst bought an 89' Suburban 1500 with 5.7 TBI v8. Odo says 95K but records show it has to be at least 195K. To my great surprise it runs very smooth and has a lot of pickup.
This thing is built like a freaking tank. Hoping it'll last me at least another 5 or so years. It's not my daily driver but will serve as my doggie hauler. Not enough room on my car for 3 big dogs. Plenty of room in this. :-)

u guys are gonna hate me for this...
98 dodge ram 675000 km... 360ci...
low oil pressure cant rev it over 2500 rpm or i knocks, been driving it for 6 months and hasnt gotten worse
hey at least it has the same firing order as a chevy...

jrsavoie February 6th, 2012 4:48 AM

We have about 270,000 miles on all of our vehicles. The International has over 500,000 miles on it.The 1989 had about 800,000 miles on it. I put a new long block 6.5 non-asrirated in at 300,000 on the 6.2I use 5w30 Amsoil in everything & Baldwin, AC or other high quality filters. I also run FS2500 or Amsoil bypass filters. IT used to be that the FS2500 was hands down the better filter. Amsoil is said to have improved their newer bypass filter elements but I haven't really paid attention since I started using them. I go 20,000 miles per oil changeI also use synthetic grease
