How to easily get more low end power?
I have a 2000 silverado, well really '99 but the 2000 body style. It has a 4.8 vortec and I think a 4 speed auto-tranny. I got the exhaust done at a friend of a friends shop. It added a lot of performance over 3000 rpm but below that (1500-3000) its just not quite as powerful nor responsive. Any ideas on cheap or weasy ways to get a lot more low end power/speed?

I would try a PCM Tune or a Performance Chip. It will definetly give you more torque. Also try a cold air induction. You need more than just pipes to get the thing getting more on the lower end.

hate to buat bubbles,
but your exhaust only gives you sound, al lthat hp crap is bull.
as far as a cold air intake, your chevy comes with one?
where you think its sucking air from?
behind your fender, there fore you aint gonna fell nothing with more power out of a filter.
you could get a k&n that goes in your stock one, make your exhasut sound better and your engine would breath better, and adds about 6% gas milage, but thats it. no power. tops 2 hp.
