how rare is 1998 z71 1500 silverado CREW cab?

I'm looking for more information such as rarity and value on my truck. It is a 1998 silverado 1500 z71 CREW cab. These were not standard built, they were sent by GM to centurion conversions and extended to a crew cab. From the little info I can find, they are very rare but im wondering exact numbers? And i can not find anywhere to get a value on it bc kbb nor nada even have crew cab as an option in this year model.

I have only seen the REAL crew cab in the heavy-duty models -- not unlike what the highway department might use. Never saw one in a half-ton truck; although they may indeed exist.

Centurion Conversions used to make Ford F-250s and 350s into Suburban like vehicles before Ford came out with the Excursion.

I have no idea how rare but I have never seen one either.

Got a picture??

My old neighbor had a truck like your description. He sold it for 4k, but it had 3xx,xxx miles on it.

167k miles!? Hot damn! You should get a pretty penny for it then, if you fix the paint on the rear door!

Can't say for sure about that exact year model/set up but here in northeast AR and surrounding area that model and body style are fairly common. I live in a small town with one stoplight and it seems that the older Z71 in every configuration possible is seen everywhere.

Different areas of the country have different needs depending on various factors. Where I live the main income is from farming and he majority of the population probably has a lower annual income than other areas therefore the people tend to drive a vehicle until it dies.

To get an accurate idea of how much more it is worth, look at a 2002 between and extended cab and a full sized cab.

Meaning it is not worth as much as you think because if it'a rarity as the full 4 dr is avaiblble in newer trucks as options for buyers.

BTW. what state are you in?

Located in arkansas. About 1.5 hrs south west of little rock.

1998 Centurion conversions

Centurion only produced 12-20 2wd trucks and 4-6 4wd Crew Cab Short box trucks per year. So yes they are extremely rare. However they did do special order trucks beyond that limit. Centurion is now owned by Southern Comfort Conversions which still produces specialty trucks and SUV's. I own one myself. Your not going to find any values anywhere on these trucks. Have seen them sell between $6-20k depending on condition.
