Default Im about to give up on my truck ****update in last post****

as prev posted have had an ongoing problem with my truck for a while already. its a 2000 4.8 single cab...basically stock, only have added k&n filter, borla exhaust and the catalyst conv was taken off...

heres the deal...truck doesnt have any pull/acceleration of a dead stop. i mean i floor it, and it takes a full 2 seconds or so for you to feel any kind of thrust on the truck. i cant even do any burn out out of 1st gear..i tap the brake slightly, and floor it, and rpm, wont even go past 1k...

another thing thats been going on, is that when on a red light/stop sign, after a few seconds, the truck stars shaking, almost as if the engine is gonna give out. i have to either shift to neutral, or to 1/2/3 for it to stop..and when i do, the rpms go off(it accelerates itself)...

now heres everything ive done so far

replaced spark plugs and wires
cleaned fuel injectors
oil and filter change
trasnmision oil and filter change as well
tps and idle air control valve replaced
replaced the intake tube(was told could have a leak in my original one(

ive taken it it to about 4 or 5 mechanics..heres what most of them have told me

most say it has to do with the tps (thats the DTC that appears)..but ive already replaced it (twice i may add) like stated above...ive been told it could be the torque converter..but if it was that, its in my knowledge that i would have hard shifts between gears while run on it normally...ive also been told it could be a short on the tps..i dont know how to check on that...

please please please..im going crazy...someone help me out or point me in the right direction..

Could be your lack of a catalytic convertor! Engine needs the back pressure to run correctly!

This is just a guess but I believe I would change the fuel filter.

In all my experiences with this type of thing, it sounds like it's the lack of a catalytic converter, no back pressure, just like suzuki-guy above.

May sound dumb but check the coil pack also, especially if the stalling is happening when it's wet out

Put a vacuum gauge on it. Possibly a vacuum leak.

Make sure the EGR valve and gasket is in good shape.
