Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

I have a 2007 silverado 1500 NBS with the max trailering package. New for 08 they are offering an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this installed on my truck?

Nope I have a 2007 Vortex Max with the trailering package & during mid year the controler was addrd as an option. I called my dealer & his answer was NO, it can be done but it would cost alot money! Good luck with your truck

dlupini:

I was at the Chevy dealer this AM and asked that very question of both parts and service. The answer was a resounding No. The ABS integrated controller is a factory option only.

My 2007 Silverado came with the HD trailer towing option, so I thought I'd asked. I also found out what Chevy calls HD is not HD by TT industry standards. I have to replace the Class III receiver on mine with a Class IV receiverto make it HD. I'm also going to have a Prodigy P3 brake controller installed.
