I'm new to silverados, i just bought a 2000 and i'm looking at buying a rough country leveling kit and all terrain tires, if anyone has some useful info on either or what i should do. Please help i'm all ears.

Leveling kits for your truck are fairly cheap and easy to install. A new set of torsion bar leveling keys is all you should need to get the front level with the rear. Rough country sells a set of keys and shock spacers for around $100. Here's a link 1.5-2.5in Leveling Torsion Bar Keys Lift Kit for 99-06 Chevy / GMC 4wd 1500 Pickup [7592] | Rough Country Suspension Systems just be careful when changing the keys, they will have pressure on them even when the vehicle is off the ground, if you dont know what you are doing they can be dangerous. As far as tires go, I run a set of the new Cooper Discoverer A/T3 and I am very happy with their performance. Great wear life and traction in all conditions. Hope this helps.

You can run 285/75/16 all terrains(33" tire) without a levelin kit. That is if you're 4wd. If you are then you can just crank the stock torsion bars and it'll level you out.

I just put a 1 1/4 inch leveling kit on my truck. Almost gave me 3 inches. It went from a little over 36 in the front to 39. Very subtle but looks so good! I didn't go with torsion keys because my truck doesn't have them, I went with a 1 inch block under the strut and a 1/4 inch plate on top of the strut. Easy to install just needed an alignment. For some reason in Hawaii a alignment cost me $90 but that's another story. Anyway, I'm running the stock 275 55 r20s for now. I'm eventually going to upgrade tires but not sure to what yet.

Diff truck diff levelin kit. Fenders are different, on the 99-06 trucks the fenders are bigger allowin a bigger tire size

I think your best option is to ask help from your mechanically inclined friend or an auto shop to have it installed for you. About the tires, check out Terra Grapplers. They are very reliable on and off the road.

Like they said it is not a hard job; however, if you do not have the specialty torsion key tool to remove keys then one of them can come flying out and bash you in the face (not to scare you but make sure you know). As for tires, I run the Hankooks AT/M, they are pretty aggressive and I have never been stranded by them, very durable and tread wear is great.
