Lifter problems

I have a 08 silverado ltz 4x4 5.3. My truck is now going back into the shop for the 4th time in a year and a half to get lifters replaced. Has anyone had any luck getting this problem resolved?? I love my truck and have always paid more for the "better" truck. I am really frustrated and really not getting any relief from Chevrolet. The last go around I had to pay for half because the 12000 mile repair warranty was over by a couple thousand miles. It's now only been 4000 miles and its down again! I'm sure they will warranty the repairs but what about the 500+ dollars I have to pay in towing to get it home since I work in the oilfield 150 miles away. What about the rental car for two weeks every time this happens. I'm at the end of my rope and don't know what else to do. Short of buying another truck for 45000 dollars is there any advice for a die hard chevy person????

Are they installing GM lifters? Are all of them failing or just certain ones? If not all of them are failing is it always the same ones? There has to be some kind of blockage that keeps a sufficient amount of oil from getting to the lifters.
