Misfire Code P0301, 2011 Silverado 1500
Picked up a misfire on 2011 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4x4, 5.3l. Code P0301 says it's in the one cylinder. The truck is at the dealership since it only has 39K miles on it. I informed them of the code when I dropped the truck off yesterday. Went back by on the way home today and they said "You have a misfire". Instead of climbing over the desk I chose to just say that... yes, that's what i told you. So they're still looking at it. (slowly for a warrantied vehicle.)
What I do know. Plug is not fouled, plug wire tests okay. MAF is clean.
The misfire is in the form of a moderate stumble at op temps at idle. RPM's are erratic and do some bouncing from between 480 up to 560. This is a general range I've experienced. Not consistent but variable between those numbers. Nothing kicking and no shutdowns. Maybe a very slight 'surging' when underway. Start up at cold it idles fine.
Can anyone offer up a similar experience/outcome and help me protect myself from the dealer? They don't have a stellar rep and the next nearest is about an hour away. With it not being a plug issue my thoughts are pressure somewhere. If an O2 I would think we would see a sensor code of some sort?
Thanks for any and all help.

just went through the exact same thing with mine, it was the fouling of the no 1 cylinder and the problem was oil by passing the rings and fouling the plug, It did this twice in 2 or 3 month. I just got my truck back from having new pistons and rings put in it. google chevrolet silverado oil comsuption, you will find a lot of info. good luck wk.
