MPG,MPG... ...how about this?
First, that was funny, Ukrkoz!
I didn't want to jack your thread, but it got me to seriously thinking, since everybody is always talking solely in terms of MPG,
something I've been considering for quite a while now is "Cargo-to-Mileage-Ratio". I was in business doing deliveries for a few years, and the smaller the vehicle I had, the better the mileage,(and profit) but I still had to haul a fair amount of stuff or the vehicle just wasn't practical.
Now of course with the Silverado, there's a lot more room. In my case @18MPG,(haven't done an economy run since I started using synthetics) comfortable seating for five, and if my calculations are correct(8'deep X 5' wide X 4' cap roof height=) 160 cubic feet of space inside the back of my truck, for instance.
Of course, vehicles without a cap or bed cover should have a considerable cargo advantage.
Any thoughts?
