Need help pinpointing problem(s)

Hey guys I'm new to this forum but I've heard some good things about this site so I figured I'd give it a try.

I have a 1994 Chevy C1500 5.7L v8 350 and it's giving me hell at the moment.

Recently the whole truck started vibrating alot more than it usually would while it runs. I have very significant power loss to where it will not get past 2,500rpms at highway speeds. After checking the undercarriage I saw a generous amount of oil on the bottom of the oil pan, where the gasket is, and the oil filter itself. The odometer is currently on 197,841m. I have replaced oil and fuel filters, water pump, power steering hose and will soon replace power steering pump. Also installed performance chip and air filter. I have kept up with maintenance as best as I could.

I don't exactly have the money to throw at a mechanic so I'd prefer to fix it myself but I do need your guys' help finding the problem.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

Hey, there, Ilostabet,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

My guess, due to the high mileage, would be a slightly

mis-aligned, stretched, or worn timing chain and gears.

Have you tried a timing light to look at the timing marks?

Also, pop that distributor cap. Any carbon tracking? How is the rotor?

You may want to remove the performance chip, till you get this

problem fixed.
