Default OBD2 Code P1870

While pulling a trailer earlier this weekthe "Service Engine Soon" light came on. I took a reading and the OBD2 code P1870 "Transmission Component Slipping" came up. I did notice the transmission shifting hard between 1st and 2nd while pulling the trailer, but no problems since. Light is still on. Any suggestions????

You're dealing with one of the problems listed below:

A cracked or leaking TCC solenoid.

A cut, damaged or missing turbine shaft O-ring seal.

A converter clutch valve which does not have full travel of 1/2" or is stuck in the off position.

A slipping clutch or band.

Wow. Great forum.
I will just add to this post i guess.
96' K1500 silverado 4x4 4L60E.
This tranny is only a year old. Built by a pro gm specialist here locally. Very low miles on it. Just back and forth to work.
Today i went to town. I had my 4wheeler in the back. Lots of stop and go, and idiots on cell phones staring at greenlights.
Anyways, got this code on the cruise back home. P1840.
I also noticed on the way back home, no lock up. I pulsed the pedal, but it wouldnt kick in.
Any thoughts? Im gonna have to drive it to work tonight.
Is that a no no?
Thanks for taking the time.

Driving it until you get it fixed wont hurt anything. Tad worse mpg on highway though.
