problem with 4wd
 

I have a silverado k2500 1993, 6,5td.
When I put the shifter in 4wd nothing happends. I've tried changing the solenoide for the front axle but the problem didn't go away.

if I shift from 4wd to 2wd when driving, i hear som noises from the front axle also. Anyone having som ideas what can be wrong?

are your hubs manual locking or auto locking?

you truck doesnt have hubs, there is a pod (i dont know what it is exactly on a diesel, but on a gas truck it is a vaccum pod) that engages the front diff they fail

they are auto locking. I have changed the solenoid or actuator without any success.. seems like i have to take the front axle a part :p
