Replacing my muffler

I am replacing the muffler on my 1992 Chevy c2500 5.3L TBI 160k miles, i am looking to get a little more deep sound out of it and figure its the best time to do it since the original is shot, its a 3" in and out, i just picked up at napa a CSI Hi-flow muffler CSI9013 but havent realy heard of them before, any feedback would be nice, i still have a few more days till i can put a muffler on since i have to add some new pipe because they had not only put clams on the joints but also welded them.

I would suggest YouTubing some video's of different mufflers to hear their pitch. Obviously the best comparison will be with a similar vehicle. You can probably find some useful videos on StreetFire as well.

My recommendations have always been Flowmaster 40 series, Magnaflow, Borla, and Thrush.

Best of luck!

Well as it stands right now i will have to buy some pipe because this muffler is shorter then what is already on my truck

my suggestion would be a flowmaster muffler. 40 series, super 40 series, super 44 series are all good sounding mufflers.
