Service 4WD Message 04 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71
Hello Everyone,
Normally i'd do a intro first before i ask for help, but i need to do this in reverse.
I just purchased a lovely 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 4dr Extended Cab 4WD SB. With about 112,000 miles on it. Trust me its a creampuff, i got it from another Chevy enthusiast who took care of this truck like it was his kid. He owned a local garage that has been in town for 50+ years and is well known for being awesome with the community.
Today i got the message Service 4WD on my dash (lucky me) This is the only issue i have with it.
The 2wd 4 high and 4 low do not respond nor even light up.
I've tried to replace the switch itself,by taking apart the dash and unplugging it and plugging in a new one but nothing at all.
I've been trying to do some research on this common issue and well,
Im a little stumped on where this TCCM fuse is , since i literally went to all the fuses and can't find it (engine bay & on the drivers side door panel). Id like to try the pull out for 30 seconds and place back in. But i can't... since i can't find it.
If anyone has the same make and model or can assist me in this, you all would be a life saver .. since its snowing like hell here in NH and i cant really drive this thru 15 inches of snow or even lightly plowed roads until it gets fixed.
Thanks again & i look forward to being a great addition to the community.
Jen
