SIRIUS SIR-GM1 Sirius Sat. Adapter
Has anyone had experience with one of these? Sorta converts factory radio from XM to Sirius Satellite Service.
I already bought it and will soon be installing, but thought I'd ask (axe) others opinions of the unit. |

Had it installed at BestBuy!
Works like a champ - even gives channel and other information on the radio display. There is a pretty extensive writeup on the Crutchfield website including lots of installation advice. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-spi1vDq...sp?I=607SIRGM1 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5hVHnnh...=607SIRGM1#Tab |
RE: SIRIUS SIR-GM1 Sirius Sat. Adapter
Just installed one in my truck this weekend. I had to pull out the xm box located behind the glove box, and the included wire harness madeinstallation a breeze. No more pos FM modulator needed to hear Howard anymore. Life is good again.

i know it says 03+, but will it work on 08's? i have a non-bose truck, and this would be awesome.

RE: SIRIUS SIR-GM1 Sirius Sat. Adapter
i have an 07 silverado with xm and nav unit - i have sirius in my jeep and like it better. i was wondering if this very thing could be done. do you loose any display info on the nav/radio unit when swapping over to sirius?
