Tail lights & trailer wiring question!
NEED HELP!!!!
Just bought a 2006 Chevy 1 ton pickup. When the previous owner took the box off, they just cut the wires. Have no plugs back there, just a BUNCH of wires. Which ones go to the tails, and which one goes to the 7 way plug? Thanks! |

If you really want to know which one goes where. The best way to is look online for an electrical schematic on a search engine that can tell you what each of the color code wires are and then you could if you wish wire them together, solder them and then clamp then with a tube clamp with the plastic outer piece and the metal inside that feeds a straight line. I would recommend tie strapping them and or taping all the wires together and then making sure they stay out of the way of anything that could rip them apart again.

Depending if more or than one goes to one area which usually that is the case and will split out in each direction for where they need to go.

2006 Silverado wiring
Thanks.
A Trailer guy told me that they had one set of wires for the pickup tail lights, brakes, and turn signals. Then the other of wires for the trailer connections. Is there a GM website to go to for a wiring diagram? |
