Default Trouble Code P0137 and P0157

I own a 2000 chevy silverado 1500 5.3 with 140,000 miles on it. I noticed on the highway if you hit the passing gear the truck bogs yet if you let it shift into third gear the truck pulls fine. From your guys experience would you say the O2 sensor is bad or is the cataylic converter plugged. I plugged in the programmer I have and it gave me fault codes of P0137 and P0157 which points to the O2 sensor but is that an item that needs to be changed at a specific interval or does something else cause it to fail. Any help would be appreciated
