Truck is Hesitating during Acceleration

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT (Z71) with 50,000 miles. I have noticed that when I am on a highway doing about 65-75, if I give it some more throttle (but not enough to cause a downshift), the engine hesitates and actually feels like its causing the truck to buck/jerk for a few seconds before the RPMS either pick up or it downshifts. It almost feels like if you had a manual, it would be similar to pushing the clutch in and out a bunch of times quickly. I notice the Tach doesn't really change, so it doesn't feel like its shifting back and forth. This also happens too at lower speeds when the RPMs are low and I am just giving a little gas.

I googled this and some threads mention a Throttle Response Delay purposely programmed into the truck. I just find it odd that i've owned this truck for three years and I am just now noticing it. It could have always been there but lately i really notice it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you’re still needing an answer….

What you’re describing sounds like the torque converter clutch solenoid may be malfunctioning. Check for trouble codes even if the CEL isn’t on.

FYI the throttle response delay is only supposed to occur when taking off from a complete stop in order to prevent wear on the drive train and prevent uncontrollable vehicle movement.
