what is a good muffler for a 4.3L
 

im looking for a muffler that will make a 4.3L sound good, not like a ricer, more like a big block? any help?

i have the same motor and i put a flowmaster 40 series, it sounds good, not as nice if it was a v-8 but i enjoy the sound and level of the tone.

I had a 1994 with the 4.3 and a 5 speed transmission. I put on a Pacesetter TFX cat back system and it sounded very nice. I had that on my truck for well over 200K and replaced the muffler once at 150k due to a piece of metal in the road. The nice thing about it is that the muffler is replacable and attaches with a bolt together flange and has dual chrome tips that are welded on and exit to the side much like the stock ones. I bought it from of all places JC Whitney, TFX also has a web site as well. It has a nice mellow sound that grumbles when you get on it. Hope this helps.
