What size shocks for 6inch Lift?
Hey, I got a 1998 chevy k1500 with a 6inch susp' lift, I NEED new shocks and I'm trying to find the right size to get online. Has anyone measured a truck this style with this size lift before?

How ever much it lifted the back is how much longer shocks you need. Generally a 6" up front lift, lifts the back up 4-5"" so it's level. So get a 4-5" longer shock
Oh okay, I have a 3inch body lift too, but I think it's all level.
The 3" body lift doesn't come into play when lookin for shocks...do you remember how big the stock block was and then how big the new block was?
The block in the rear? If I measure that compared to the old block do I just add that to my stock shock length?
Yessir...say it gave you 4" of lift in the rear. Well lifted shock applications will say for up to 4" of lift in the rear and so on
That makes sense. Thanks for turning my common sense button on. I went with some Rancho shocks, got good reviews on them. Thanks again.
