Whats the best brand of rotors and calipers out their for everyday use so that i can get the best stopping power out of my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd Z71?

I got EBC rotors and ebc greenstuff ceramic pads and they are bitchin.
no breakdust on my wheels and they have been on for several thousand miles.
absolutely silent, no pulsating, no breakdust, and great stopping power.
I have slotted rotors but they are overkill, the standard rotors will be plenty sufficient.

here is my ongoing review. This weekend I will be taking some measurements
with a micrometer to see how much the rotors have worn.

For the brake pads im starting to look at getting the Yellow stuff even though they have alot of brake dust but they also are excellent in every other category, i haul stuff and tools all the time and i also work in construction. I was wondering is it much better to get the lifetime warranty brakes at autozone and never have to pay for brake pads again or keep on paying a few hundred bucks every time you need to replace brakes?

I guess that may be up to you.
I can't stand breakdust and duralast puts off tons of it.
Yes it Is not a bad thing to have a soft pad,
But the softer it is the faster it wears and the more dust it puts off.
Also the more expensive brands like ebc contain other elements that help
The pad actually last longer.
But in the end it is up to you.
The rotor is excellent quality, I cannot speak of the yellowstuff pads cuz I
Have not tried them, but I would be willing to bet that in their own
Respect they are probably just as good as the greenstuff that I have.

Another thing you will have to look into is how long the pads last.
How much is your time worth to you that if the duralasts only last 1/2
As long you will be changing them twice as much, which may be worth
It to you to put a new pad on every year or 2, idk. But something to think about.
I had duralasts on my truck before the ebc's and I couldn't stand them
Primarily because the breakdust was so bad and so quickly got caked on
The wheels. But like I said, if breakdust isn't a deciding factor for you,
The duralasts did their job for being 1/2 the price of the ebc's.

I recently changed the rear brake pads and rotors. I used Napa pads and rotors, i went middle of the road on the pads (the next higher priced ones were the ceramic). I cant get the the damn things to stop squealing! Normally napa has solid products. oh well, Guess i'll be changing pads...again. Good luck on the brake search!
