Wheel bearing or Leaf spring Causing squeak??

Ok, so I've been searching this forum for a while now looking for an answer ... nothing ... so before I go out and spend unnecessary money I'd thought I'd check with the experts on here first ...

my silverado is making a squeek almost like a wheel bearing is out (rear) .. but I dont hear it all the time , usually only when the road is rough , sooo I greased all my bushings and waited .. but its still there. When I shake my truck (while in park) I can still hear it sum ... I dont have a whole lotta money to spend so where would a good place to start be ??

I don't know if you found your squeek yet. But I found mine inbetween the leaf springs. I just shoot some lithium spray lube or wd40 and it goes away for a while and then I do it again.

A wheel bearing going out is not likely to squeak but more likely to growl and they usually go quick once the reach that point...
most (intermittent) squeaks are suspension related....

squeak

i agree with in2pro ,a wheel bearing will be a constant rotational noise like a growl or roaring noise when moving .more than likely their are a couple things you can look at .a clip strap on the spring rubbing on the other leafs ,one or both spring eye bolts are getting frozen with rust ,the nylon wear pads on the end,s of the leafs are worn out .some newer trucks have clip straps steel with a nylon wear sleeve ,some are just steel only just crimped around the spring with a bolt through it at the top some times if the spring eye bolts are dry with rust and dirt remove them and replace or clean up and no matter if new or old put never seize on them .
one further thing never put any kind of lubrication between the leaf spring plate's themselves .leaf springs work on friction and when you remove it the springs work to easy and can break .

I found that is was 2 of the wheel bolts were bad, I went ahead and changed the leaf spring bushings (not fun having to drop the gas tank for 1 bolt) and degreased the leaf springs... now the truck is silent and I can enjoy hearing the exhaust again..
