Default wheel size

I have looked through the threads and it seems that this had been brought up alot but never really answered.

I just lifted my truck 6" and want to go from my 365/75/16's to a 35/12.5/15 because they are much cheaper and easier to find. The question is, will the 15" wheel fit?

I have a 95 K1500 with, now this is the key, 11" rear brakes.

I was made aware of the fact that this year truck came with either a 10" or 11" rear brake when I went to get a drum hardware kit. Now I am not sure what decided if a truck came with the heavier brakes or not, im not sure if it was an option or if the V6 came with 10" and the V8 came with 11"

What I do know is a 15" wheel will fit a 90's K1500 with a V6 because my friend has 15's on his V6, but he does not know his brake size, so I am unsure if they would fit my truck.

I'm pretty sure a 15" rim will fit, I don't think they came with 16" rims stock until 00 or so. You should be fine

Take a wheel off of your friends truck and see if it clears your brakes. Heck a real friend would even help you do it.

Ill check to see what size mine are but I have a 98 k1500 on 15X8.5 wheels and the truck came stock with 245/75/16s. Id love to do a 6 inch lift and run stock chevy 20s with 35s.
