I have a 2002 z71 Ext cab 4x4 stock ride height and stock rims. I have heard of people putting on a 285/75/16 but this size would be great

I have put that size on my 95 chevy k2500, truck in my avatar, and it fit great, no rubbing. But you have a newer body style pickup then I have, so not sure if the wheel wells are bigger or smaller or what the status on that is, but I would be willing to bet money that they will fit no problem. I had some Nitto Terra Grappler's in that size and I LOVED the way that looked.

The oiffset is completely different form NBS to classic chev, odds are a 305 will rub on cornering on the inside of the wheel well,

Well the width is the same. The offset is at +25 where on my pickup its 0. I did not think of this before I just thought the offset was the same on mine and yours, I actually check it out and the offset IS different so that could cause it to rub.

Best thing to do is to get one mounted and put it on to see if it would rub. If it does you could always go with a 0 offset rim and then it wouldn't rub I don't think, but it would come out about 1" further then it would with the stock rims.

Ok, well looks like there is too much offset for it to work.

Me being the hard headed stubborn curious person I am, I would still try it if it were my vehicle, I am the kind I have to see it for myself.

hey man my buddy went with that tire on his and cranked the torsion bars and they fit fine... dunno maybe he got lucky but it has been done and probably would work pretty well may have to trim the front plastic valance a bit...

yes thats true...it has been done by cranking on them...but then you ruin your ride quality...if quality isnt for you...then this is a cheap and inexpensive route

I have 305/65r17 Pro Comps on my 02 1500 Z71 and it rubs when I turn too sharp. I didn't put them on I just bought it that way about 1 1/2 weeks ago...
